This story, found in the Book of Numbers 22 in the Bible, highlights a significant moment where Balaam's donkey exhibits more spiritual awareness than Balaam himself. As Balaam was on his way to curse the Israelites at the behest of Balak, king of Moab, an angel of the Lord stood in the road to oppose him. The donkey, seeing the angel brandishing a sword, attempted to avoid the divine messenger by veering off the path, crushing Balaam's foot against a wall, and finally lying down in the road.

What a beautiful and peaceful morning it is, walking to the beach as the sun begins to rise. People are excited to enjoy the slightly cooler breeze and the powerful surf. One guy, riding his electric bike, whizzed by while talking on his phone about catching some waves on the white water. The morning buzz of activity is a nice refresher for the soul. Others gather to stroll along the sandy shoreline, quietly taking in God’s magnificent creation, even as Hurricane Erin skirts nearby. What a true blessing it is to live here on the Space Coast!

“ And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that is was good”. Genesis 1:10

Have you ever felt like a small ship tossed about on a huge sea? Watching other people seem like they have it all together asking, "why not me?" Or the leading, successful CEO who has to keep dark secrets of their industry tucked deep inside - or else? Or the parent that strives to do everything they can for their children which seems to go unoticed; & when our children are needed the most - no one shows up? We give and do everything that seems right & at some point, people let us down. No one is perfect. No, not one. On every level. From rich to poor. Young to old. Male to female. We all fall short. Every person has experienced the pain of being let down and/or has done the same in return. Realize this. We have all blown it. And we need a Savior.

So, who can we trust? Who is there twenty-four /seven? When we call upon the name, Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world - He is. And if you are reading this & do not know Him as Lord & Savior, today is the day of Salvation. The Word says in Romans 3:23, 24 "for we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus".

It is as simple as ABC.

Admit you're a sinner. Believe Jesus is Lord. Call upon His name.
